Stanwood, located on Port Susan Bay, is the northernmost city of Snohomish County and is the gateway to Camano Island to the west. Getting Here
You can get to Stanwood by car, bus, or Amtrak. From north or south I-5 take exit 212 and head five minutes west toward Camano Island. Stanwood has something for everyone - come visit us today!
Meet Mayor Roberts
Sid is originally from Kansas, but married a native Stanwood girl in 1983 and relocated to Snohomish County the same year. The Roberts’ have 4 grown children and 2 grandchildren. Sid’s professional background for 38 years is in real estate brokerage and land use. Sid also served on the Lynnwood City Council from 2012 to 2015, Stanwood Planning Commission, and Stanwood City Council, and his desire is to help Stanwood plan for the future and become a more efficient and sustainable city. Sid completed his bachelor's degree at the youthful age of 49 and is excited to continue learning, growing, and serving the community. Sid can be seen most mornings walking in Stanwood and enjoying the beautiful environment we all share.
