You are able to complete your passport renewal online, and then mail it for processing. Be certain that you are on the official Department of State website.
Prior Passport Issue Date
If the passport was issued less than 15 years ago, the applicant must process his/her individual renewal form. The City of Stanwood will supply the Renewal Form (DS-82). All instructions for renewing an adult passport are provided on the back of the renewal form.
If the passport was issued more than 15 years ago, the applicant must apply at a passport acceptance facility. The City of Stanwood will process the application using the same procedure and fees as a new passport application.
Adult Renewal Requirements
Adults will need to bring their prior passport and valid driver’s license and copy of valid driver’s license front and back.
If you do not have the most current passport a previous passport or a certified copy of the original of birth certificate and a photo copy front and back.
Children Renewal Requirements
Children need to bring their prior passport, and photo copy of their birth certificate - front and back.
If 15 years and younger - Either both parents must be present or one parent and notarized statement of consent form with the non-applying parent’s copy of their identification, both front and back that was shown to notary.
If 16 and 17 years - Only one parent must be present
